"Creating mosaic art is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle, fitting together many small objects into a beautiful art piece. The combination of glass, ceramic tile and other objects becomes a wonderful palette of materials to work with. Each piece I do is a reflection of the colors, textures and patterns that inspire me." |
Nancy Meyer has been an Art Teacher in both public and private schools for over 25 years. She has been studying and creating art since childhood. About 25 years ago Nancy took her first mosaic art class, and has continued creating and teaching mosaic art ever since.
Since retiring, Nancy dedicates her time to offering mosaic art workshops and creating one-of-a-kind mosaic art pieces in her home studio, The Mosaic Gardens in Campbell, California. Nancy also offers open studio sessions to students who have previously attended a Saturday all-day workshop. Open studio time provides students a space to create additional mosaic art pieces. Open studio also provides a creative space to make mosaic art along with other students taking pleasure in the mosaic art experience.
