Materials, instruction, continental breakfast, and lunch are included in the cost. This workshop is limited to 9 students.
The special project for this workshop will be a "glass on glass" (GOG) mosaic. This is made of pieces of translucent stained or colored glass arranged onto a clear glass sheet, adhered with clear adhesive, so that light can shine through. This achieves a similar effect as a true leaded stained glass work, but doesn't need any leading, copper foil or soldering. Any parts of the clear glass that are not covered by colored glass can be filled in with grout, or left clear. This simpler method is more flexible and allows more spontaneity and creativity.
To introduce you to this art form, you will be provided tools, instruction, a clear glass sheet and matching frame for a 5-inch x 7-inch finished area.
Total cost will be $120. Register with $20 deposit to reserve your seat. Remainder of workshop fee ($100) is payable the day of the workshop at The Mosaic Gardens (Venmo, Zelle, cash or check).
