Team Building Event
The definition of the word mosaic means composing of many pieces. Each person is an important piece of the "mosaic" within an organization, contributing a unique set of skills, ideas, and dynamics. The creation of mosaic art is a simple but very effective art form that brings awareness of the bigger picture rather than focusing on an individual task. By engaging your team with a creative artistic activity you will be encouraging them to think "outside-the-box" and demonstrate that with teamwork you can achieve a wonderful result.
This experience is for everyone, regardless of age, gender or artistic ability or inability. Even the most "creatively challenged" participants will feel comfortable in this relaxed, creative setting!
Outcomes:
Teams will have the opportunity to express creativity using innovative and imaginative problem solving skills by creating a piece of a mosaic artwork.
Each team's mosaic contributes to the overall success of the completed mosaic artwork.
Each participant is provided with the opportunity to discover hidden talents along with skills required to create a wonderful piece of art!
The completion and display of the mosaic will be a reminder of this unique team building event.
Format:
Participants are provided hands-on instruction for creating mosaic art.
Participants work together to select a theme or image for the mosaic.
The group is organized into several teams. The number of participants per team is based on the total number of participants attending the event.
Each team is supplied with art materials to create a mosaic.
Group size: 8 - 40
Duration: 2 - 3 hours
Location: On or off client site - conference/meeting room, tables and chairs to accommodate group
Fee: Based on group size and mosaic project
For additional information, please contact Nancy.
Mosaic Fundraising Event
A mosaic art fundraiser is a unique hands-on fundraising activity. At the event participants create a mosaic art piece on a small wooden shape. Each participant chooses a wooden shape and glues down prepared cut tiles & other embellishments on top of the shape. The tiled piece is taken to The Mosaic Gardens Studio for grouting and mounting (participants choose between a river rock or 12" metal stake mount). The finished mosaic art piece is packaged and returned to your organization for distribution to participants.
Many schools have cut back and/or eliminated art programs. Many adults would love to find a creative outlet but don't have the time to take classes after working all day. Studies have shown that the need to create and make art is an important part of brain development for children and a stress-reducing activity for adults. Given the opportunity to create a small piece of mosaic art, participants look forward to taking part in this one of a kind fundraising event. Not only will they will feel great about creating art but at the same time know that they are contributing to the organization's fundraising goals!
