Hands-On Mosaic Workshops
Limited to 8 students / workshop
At the mosaic workshop you will create a beautiful mosaic art piece using a variety of materials: ceramics, tiles, stained glass, and other embellishments. This workshop is perfect for beginners wanting to learn how to mosaic without buying all the tools and supplies necessary to get started with mosaics. Experienced mosaic artists are also welcome to attend. You will take home a lovely finished art piece to enjoy in your garden, planter or special indoor/outdoor space.
Workshop fee includes all instructional and material costs.
Workshop start to finish: approx. 4 to 5 hours, plus 1 hour scheduled return time to grout and seal work. All workshops start at 10AM.

Mosaic Garden Marker
Basic mosaic workshop: 6" by 6" square mosaic piece attached to a 30" iron garden stake
$50 workshop fee (includes all material and instruction)
Mosaic Heart Art
- Mosaic River Rock Heart (can be used as a paperweight, door stop, or just for decoration.) -- $20 workshop fee
- Heart Set On 4 1/2" x 6" Board -- $25 workshop fee

Mosaic Mirrors
- 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" Mirror -- $40 workshop fee
- 10" x 10" Mirror -- $50 workshop fee
- 8 1/2" x 10" with 6" x 7 1/4" inset -- $60 workshop fee
Mosaic "Faux" Flower Pot Wall Piece
Finished mosaic piece is 8" by 8" with 6" by 6" inset with terra cotta pot
$65 workshop fee (includes all material and instruction)
Stepping Stone
Finished mosaic piece is 12" diameter square or round stepping stone

Lazy Susan

Wednesday Late Morning or Evening at the Mosaic Lab
The Mosaic Lab has been created for those who are self-directed and would like a creative environment to work on their own mosaic projects at their own pace. Participants will have access to tools and most supplies (including ceramic adhesives, grouting materials, sealants, etc), as well as Nancy's guidance as needed. Some mosaic experience helpful.
Dates: Most Wednesdays during the year. Check the calendar for Lab dates.
Lab times to select from:
Late Morning: 11AM - 1PM
Evening: 7:30PM - 9:30PM
Cost for lab use: $10 per hour.
Mosaic materials (such as ceramics, tiles, glass, and other embellishments) are not included; Lab participants are welcome to bring their own materials or you can purchase supplies through The Mosaic Gardens.
Art Classes for Kids
After school art classes for kids provide young artists the time to explore their creativity and learn art skills in a positive and supportive environment. Students will have the opportunity to build art skills & make great projects using paints, clay, pastels, color pencils... perfect for kids who love making art!
Nancy is a Credentialed California Art Teacher for grades K-12, with over 15 years of Art Instruction experience in both public and private school settings.
General information for After School Art Classes at The Mosaic Gardens:
A session is 6 class meetings, once per week
Each class meets for 1 hour and 30 minutes
Maximum size 6 students per session
Cost is $150 per 6-week session (includes snack, instruction, and all art materials)
